Hours of Operation: M-F (Except Holidays) 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (Opened to the public at 9:15 a.m. Generally closed for lunch at 12:00 noon unless the morning calendar runs past noon, then the staff will recess thereafter. In that event, there will be a posting outside of the courtroom.

Courtesy copies of all papers relating to Writs and Receivers and non-harassment TROs are to be hand-delivered to the clerk in 301/302 at 9:15 a.m. on the date of the ex-parte application.

Hearings for Law & Motion and Writs & Receivers hearings Assigned By Case Number.

· All Law & Motion matters ("limited jurisdiction" and "unlimited jurisdiction") and all Writs and Receivers matters will be heard in either Courtroom 301 or Courtroom 302 at 9:30 a.m. on weekdays.

· Matters with an odd case number will be heard by the Honorable Peter Busch in Room 301.

· Matters with an even case number will be heard by the Honorable Charlotte Woolard in Room 302.

· All ex parte Writs and Receivers must be scheduled with the calendar clerk (i.e., either in Courtroom 301 or 302). For Courtroom 301 matters call: 551-3720. For Courtroom 302 matters call: 551-3823.

Ex Parte Hearings Weekdays at 11:00 a.m.

· All ex parte hearings will be held at 11:00 a.m. on weekdays (except that Unlawful Detainer Stays of Execution are only heard on Tuesdays). Odd-numbered cases will be heard in Courtroom 301. Even-numbered cases will be heard in Courtroom 302.

· Courtesy copies of all papers relating to Writs & Receivers ex parte applications shall be hand delivered no later than two hours prior to hearing (9:15 a.m.) in the appropriate courtroom.

· All hearings will be set for 9:30 a.m. There is no longer a 10:30 a.m. "second half" when a calendar contains 20 or more lines.

Unlawful Detainer Stays of Execution on Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m.

· Stays of Execution for Unlawful Detainer matters shall be heard at 11:00 a.m. along with all other ex parte matters but only on Tuesdays.

Presiding Judge Matters

· The Presiding Judge of the respective court (or person designated by the Presiding Judge) shall hear all motions that affect trial dates (including all ex parte applications for Orders Shortening Time for Motion to Continue Trial).

· The Presiding Judge of the respective court (or person designated by the Presiding Judge) shall hear all Applications for Waiver of Court Fees ("In Forma Pauperis").

· The Presiding Judge of the respective court will hear matters that affect Unlawful Detainer trial dates. No matter affecting a trial date will be heard in either Courtroom 301 or Courtroom 302.
